Find the Change Machine Configuration App
NOTE: To view the App, a User must have both CM Configuration Permission Sets.
- Log into Salesforce.
- Click on the App Launcher. This is a square icon made of nine (9) dots on the left side of your screen.
- In the search box, type Change Machine Configuration and select it.
- If you do not see the Change Machine Configuration App, you do not have permissions to view and use the App. You may need to adjust your permissions or speak with your System Administrator to get access.
Create a Custom Action
Actions are steps that can be added to a Personal Goal on your customer's record. There are many Actions embedded within the COACH app that can be added to a Personal Goal but creating Custom Actions helps create specific steps that your organization may require for your customers to complete a Goal.
- In the Change Machine Configuration App, in the Actions and Tools tab, click on Create New Action.
- On the New Action screen, fill out the following information:
- Action Name (Required):
Give your Action a concise name. - Select Action Type (Required):
Select the Financial Security area that your Action relates to (i.e. Assets, Banking, Credit, Debt, Goals, or Taxes). - Select Tools:
If your organization has uploaded Custom Tools, you can attach them to your New Action here. Select the Tool in the Custom Tools section and move it to the Selected section.
- Action Name (Required):
- Click Create New Action to save this Action.
Create New Tool
In COACH, worksheets/tipsheets are called Tools. Your organization may have PDFs that you use and share with your customers regularly. These PDFs can be uploaded into COACH and attached to Custom Actions.
- In the Change Machine Configuration App, on the Actions and Tools tab, click on Create New Tool.
- On the New Tool screen, fill out the Tools Name field with a recognizable name for your Tool.
- Click on Save New Tool Name to save the name of your Custom Tool.
- Under Supplement File, upload the PDF that you have saved on the device you are currently using. Only PDFs will be accepted here.
- Click Done when your PDF has completed being uploaded.
- Repeat the previous steps to upload another Custom Tool.
Remove Tools From Action
If you have created a Custom Action and attached a Custom Tool to it, you can remove that that Custom Tool from the Action.
- In the Change Machine Configuration App, under the Actions and Tools tab, click on Remove Tools From Action.
- Under Select an Action, choose the Custom Action that you no longer want a Custom Tool attached to.
- Click Remove Tools to remove that Tool.
Create New Trail
A Trail is a collection of Actions that creates a pathway of actions that your customer can take to achieve their Personal Goals.
- In the Change Machine Configuration App, under the Trails tab, click on Create New Trail.
- Enter in a Trail Name that is concise and recognizable to your Coaches.
- Choose a Category that relates to the topic or purpose of your Custom Trail. Category examples include Career, Education, Financial Security - Debt, Housing, etc.
- The Deactivated checkbox, when checked, allows you to create your Trail but it can't be added by Coaches until it is marked as Activated. This could be useful if you want to save a Trail but you want to edit and activated it later.
- The Starter checkbox. when checked, will add this Trail to all new Contact records after they are created. If your organization requires specific Actions or training for all customers, this option automatically adds them to their Contact record upon creation.
- Click the dropdown field under Action No.1, choose any of the available Actions to add to this Trail.
- You can add multiple Actions to your Trail by clicking the + icon and all will be added to a Contact record when this Trail is added.
- You can remove Actions but clicking the X icon.
- Add a short Description for your Trail that will display on when the Trail has been added to a Contact record.
- Click Create Trail to save your Custom Trail. Coaches can add this trail to a Contact record after it has been saved.
Manage All Trails
After creating Custom Trails for your customers, you can edit or delete after creation
- In the Change Machine Configuration App, under the Trails tab, click on All Trails.
- Any Trails that were created will be listed in the Edit/Remove Trail table.
- Find the Trail you want to edit or delete and click the down-facing arrow to the right of the name.
- Click Edit Trail to edit the Trail details or attached Actions.
- Click Delete to completely remove any unused or no longer needed Trails.
