After clicking on the Messages link in COACH (pictured below), if you see a window that says Opt-in Required, this can be disabled by following the steps below.
Twilio has adopted a Messaging Policy that works to protect any people that will be receiving messages through a Twilio Messaging Service. Click here to view the Twilio Messaging Policy view any changes. By agreeing to a Change Machine Premium License, although the settings will be disabled until installation, you are also agreeing to not violate the Twilio Use Policy or to send unwanted messages to your Contacts.
Disabling Client Opt-In
NOTE: Only a User with a Twilio License and the Twilio Administrator Permission Set can view and edit Twilio settings.
- Log into your organization's Salesforce instance.
- Click on the App Launcher icon to find and open the Twilio app.
- On the Twilio app page, scroll down to the SMS Settings section.
- Click on the slider button to disable the Require Opt-in for 1:1 SMS Messaging.
- Click the Save button to save this settings change.
- Use the App Launcher to navigate to COACH app and open a Contact record that has a Mobile Phone Number added to their account.
- Click on the Messages link and see if the Opt-In Required message is still showing.
